Rose G. Sulzycki Walach

ROSE GERTRUDE SULZYCKI WALACH NEWPORT NEWS-Rose G. Sulzycki Walach, 81, a native of Erie, PA and resident of Newport News for over 44 years, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Mary Immaculate Hospital. A member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Rose was a beloved spouse and loving mother of five. Mrs. Walach was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Walach, Sr.; her parents; and numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Marcella Griffin and husband Harry of Poquoson, Ellen Vest and husband Allen of Floyd, and Roberta Walach of Jupiter, FL; sons, Anthony J. Walach, Jr. of Erie, PA, and Mark V. Walach of Richmond; seven grandchildren, Scott J. Dedmond of Poquoson, Dr. Daynelle M. Dedmond of Poquoson, Christie Walach of Pittsburg, PA, Roberta Lynn Walach of Pittsburg, PA, Codi Walach of Tinker AFB, OK, Anthony Walach, III of Erie, PA, and Dr. Marcee Vest of Floyd; and five great-grandchildren. The family received friends Wednesday, November 10, 7-8:00 p.m., at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, Poquoson. An additional viewing will be Thursday, 9-9:45 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. Henry M. Diesta. Interment will be January 13, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in Arlington National Cemetery.
