WANDA RASH Obituary

Rash Wanda Gail Farmer Rash, 63, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. She was born in Wythe County on June 23, 1947. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd E. Farmer. She had attended Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church. She had been employed as a security guard for 28 years. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, David Russell Rash; two children, Timothy Dewayne Rash and Rose Renee Olson; her mother, Nannie "Libby" Sylvester; her siblings, Linda Sue Duncan, Lloyd Earl "Toby" Farmer, Rosalie Marie Barrett, Earl Dewayne Farmer, Daniel Bruce Farmer, and Samuel Bernard Farmer; her grandchildren, Derrick Wynn, Courtney Renee Olson, Aaron Rash, Kyle Rash, and Tyler Rash; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, April Gail Duncan. A funeral service was conducted Thursday, June 9, at 6 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family received friends Thursday from 5 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society: P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com Bradley's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
