William A. Jackson Sr., 57, of Wytheville died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Larry Cline and Ray Cantrell officiating. He was a retired dairy farmer. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jerry Wheeler. Survivors include his wife, Wanda C. Jackson of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Angela C. and Larry D. Ashby; two sons and daughter-in-law, William A. "Jay" Jr. and Marlena Jackson, and Clifford Jackson; parents, William Theodore and Mary Frances Jackson; two sisters and brother-in-law, Susie Wheeler, Dottie and Darrell Eads; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Joyce Jackson, Teddy and Janet Jackson, Samuel "Freddy" Jackson, Misty White and baby Brooklyn White; special mother-in-law, Oneda Garland; grandchildren, Sabrina Crider and husband Jaron Crider, Charlotte Hoback, Theodore Ashby, Benjamin Ashby, Travis Crider, Shawn Jackson, April Jackson, Renee Ragnone, Vernon Ragnone II, Duwayne Ashby, Jessica Shores and Charlie King; two great-grandchildren, Jessie Crider and Vernon Ragnone III; special friends, Aileen and Beryl Workman; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
