Glade Spring has lost one of it's most loved, popular and respected citizens. Tyler Sheets will live on in our memories of what made Glade Spring a special place to live. A history of the town could not be written without mention of his contribution.

WOW! What a guy! I will never ever forget Tyler's love for Elvis, Patrick Henry and life itself. I traveled home last year and ran into Tyler in the Town Square in Glade and he still remembered me after all these years. He will never be forgotten! I'm sure God and his angels were waiting with open arms for his arrival in heaven.

Bill, Linda, & Jamie: I am so honored that I was able to know Tyler. He had such a kind & loving heart. I will never forget how welcome he made Brandon & I feel when we moved in next door. He was a true star that will continue to shine ever so bright in the town of Glade Spring.

What a true pleasure it was to come to know such a gentle and effervescent soul. Tyler showed us all that we can do anything we set our minds to... regardless of the stumbling blocks along the way. He was a young man to emulate... no matter one's age - for Tyler was ageless. And his wonderful spirit will remain in the hearts of everyone who crossed his path.

Linda, Bill & Jamie,
I'm so sorry to hear about Tyler. He always made everyone smile that he came in contact with. I can remember when he used to come to the house when we were young and sing Elivs songs to us. He loved looking at my Moms collection of Elvis records. He and Dad would always sit around watching TV picking on it each. I can remember those days like it was yesterday. May God comfort you and bring you peace.

Tyler was a true friend of mine and my only "Special" crime fighter. Tyler helped me crack many cases over the years and helped me fight many of a fire with the fire dept. I last saw Tyler at the special awards event put on by the crew and fire dept. and he came up to me as always and chit chatted for awhile. Tyler sat with my wife while I sang Karoke at DJ's Pizza and he he sang Lady GaGa right after me. I can only tell good stories about Tyler because that is all I remember. Never once do I remember Tyler having a bad day. Rest in peace Brother and I hope you have a blast with Elvis and all the one's that will watch over you as you begin your new life free from all pain and hurt. See you in Heaven.
I could not make the services as I am out of town.

I worked with Tyler at F.I.B. and he was one of the sweetest guys ever. He always had a big smile on his face, and flirted with all the pretty girls. I feel blessed to have been a part of his life, and pray that God will be with you and comfort you during this terrible time.

I am so sorry to know that the town of Glade Spring has truly lost a loyal friend. I will miss our visits whether at Food Country or when he would stop by my house to chat. Tyler never met a stranger, and he was always ready to share a story and a smile. His presence on this earth will be missed, but his presence in Heaven will be celebrated. May God's peace comfort you until we are all in his presence.

Mr. & Mrs. Sheets: Even though I have not seen Tyler in several years, I have always thought of him and was glad to have known him in our younger days. He would always light up the room when he walked in. He was never at a loss for words and so many people knew and loved him. I just happened to be in Glade on Wednesday evening and just after hearing of his passing, the fire alarm went off at the fire station and I knew it was in his honor. I feel he was looking down with a big smile. God bless your family.

The last time I got to spend time with Tyler was at a Christian Men's meeting in Glade a few years back. They had a band there and seeing Tyler praising God that night was a joy to me. He was a good friend to have."A True Rebel"! Our sadness will be short because the day is coming when we who believe in Jesus as our saviour will be forever more with Him.(See ya in Heaven my friend!) Amen!

Tyler will be missed by the town of Glade. I don't think that Tyler looked at anyone as a stranger because he talked to everyone. I think that he felt that he was a part of every church in Glade. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Let his spirit remain with you.

I want the family to know that my prayers go up today. I remember Tyler from when I was much younger. He used to come to our house all the time. He loved talking and joking with my dad, Sammy. Today, they both are in Heaven with the Angels and walking hand in had with the Lord. Tyler was a great person. He was always smiling and he loved Elvis. He touched the lives of so many people in his lifetime. He will be truly missed but always remembered. May God comfort you all during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear about Tyler. I knew something had been wrong when I hadn't been seeing him & his beautiful smiling face around Glade as I normally did when I'd shop for groceries. But, as everyone in Glade knows not just me but, the entire town will feel the void without Tyler & his sweet laughter or smiling face with us any longer. His spirit will always be here though & all the wonderful memories & I just wanted to let you all know how loved he really was. He was loved by so many people & many of us "Rebel Fans" as Tyler was will miss him so very much. To you as his family I send my prayers & if there's anything my family can do please let us know. May God bless you. Tyler rest in peace buddy! You'll be missed but, never forgotten......
