Rev. Brenda J. Ferree

FELTON Brenda J. Ferree, 68, passed away on April 22, 2015, at her residence. She was the wife of Steve L. Ferree. The couple observed their 45th wedding anniversary on January 10th of this year. Born in York on December 29, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Marian P. (Lutz) Dellinger. Brenda was a graduate of Kennard-Dale High School Class of 1964 and a graduate of York Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1967. During her nursing career, she was employed with Red Lion VNA, York VNA and Shrewsbury Lutheran Home. At the Shrewsbury Lutheran Home, she held positions of Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing and Executive Director of Campus. Brenda graduated from the Lutheran Theology Seminary in Gettysburg in 2007. She was called to be pastor of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, West York, in 2007. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Trampas S. Ferree and his wife, Toni, of Felton and Seth A. Feriano and his wife, Patty, of Rockville, Md.; three grandchildren, Willa Ferree, Emory Ferree, and Clementine Feriano; a sister, Diane Spizzari and her husband, John, and family of Montana; and a brother, Gene Dellinger and his wife, Lori, and family of Fayetteville. A memorial service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 25 N. Adams St. in York. Burial will be private for the family in St. Paul Lebanon Lutheran Church Cemetery in Felton. The Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W.
