Daniel Myers Obituary

Daniel E. Myers, 40, died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Willow Springs Park (a.k.a. Millardsville Quarry), Jackson Twp., Lebanon County. His cause of death is under investigation by Lebanon County Coroner Office. Born in Lancaster he was a son of Carl H. and Jean C. (Wolf) Myers, of Sinking Spring, Berks County. He was a 1980 graduate of Wilson High School, Berks County and a graduate of Fort Morgan Community College, Fort Morgan, Colo. He was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, Bethel. He was a former loan executive for the United Way of Lancaster County and was a former Big Brother at the same United Way. He was a Gas Supply Mechanic for UGI, Lancaster for 14 years, last working on Thursday, April 24th. He was a Dive Master and expert Scuba Diver and was well known on the East Coast. He was also a Crew member about the 'Seaker' Boat out of Point Pleasant, NJ. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Romaine Myers, of New Oxford; one brother, Mark E. Myers of Lititz; one niece, Savannah Myers; and one nephew, John Myers. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. in Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, Bethel. Visitation with the family will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disaster Child Care, P.O. Box 188, New Windsor, MD 21776 or to the United Way of Lancaster County.
