Carroll Reeser Obituary

YORK Carroll R. Reeser, 93, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010. He was the hus band of the late Eleanor (Klingman) Reeser. Born June 23, 1916, in Berwick, he was the son of the late Rev. George L. and Ada (Simmons) Reeser. Mr. Reeser was retired from York International, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, and received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars. Mr. Reeser is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Steidler and her husband, Harold of York; two sons, James Reeser and his wife, Carole of Lock Haven, and Charles Reeser and his wife, Vicki of Kingsport, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Sean Steidler, Justin Steidler, Steven Reeser, and Brian Reeser; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Fishel of Red Lion and Helen Smith of Cape May, N.J. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Gill. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Grace United Methodist Church, 37 N. Broad St., York, with The Rev. Dr. D. Guy Carrigan, Jr. and Pastor Judy M. Bupp officiating. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Yorkana Cemetery with flag presentation and taps presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S.
