Can´t believe it has been four years since your passing. Our time as friends was special to me more than you realized. I live now in Chicago in the Mies buildings - the one next to where you lived - and think of you often and our Saturdays in the summer hanging out. May the impact you had on many and the light you shone in the world provide comfort for all your family and friends on this anniversary.

I was saddened and shocked to learn of Bill's passing, which I saw in the Towson University alumni magazine. I was Bill's roommate in college for three semesters and I learned a great deal from him. I'm sure a great multitude of people can ,and have, said the same thing. He was always very encouraging to me as I attempted to figure out what my future plans would be after I completed college. As an economics teacher today, I still remember some of his ideas which he shared with me and I incorporate them into my instruction. May God bless your family at this time and give you His peace.

My deepest sympathies to Bill's family. He was a dear friend of mine from our days in Chicago together. I will always remember his support personally and professionally, our amazingly fun trip to Rio and spontaneous Philadelphia trip during a blizzard, his dry wit and his intelligence. He is gone too soon and I wish I could pick up the phone and speak to him again. A kind and genuine soul who be remembered by many. May his family take comfort in knowing what a truly good man he was.

Working with Bill Wilson at the The Heritage Foundation was an honor. Discussions with Bill were always fascinating-- ranging from his global travels, his latest research, global politics, and the financial markets. His commitment to the ideas of economic freedom inspired many. And Bill always was eager to offer words of encouragement and advice. Even after I moved on from Heritage, I enjoyed dropping by his office to hear his take on the world. He'll be missed.

Dear Shirley and Don, please accept our condolences at this time. Although many years have passed since our children played together at Hiestand School, our memories of those days are still some of the most precious. Our family will always hold Bill in the Light and think of him as the young boy who followed his dreams .
