Kenneth King Obituary

Kenneth Milton "Kenny" King, 67, of Elizabeth Ave. in Rockingham, died Saturday August 3, 2013 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

He was born June 9, 1946 in Richmond County, NC a son of Margaret Viola Mclean King and the late Milton Legree King. Kenny had been employed as a truck driver for L.G. DeWitt Trucking Company, a dispatcher for Rockingham Police Department and later as a driver for Central Taxi.

He is survived by his mother Viola M. King of Rockingham, a sister Denise King Taylor and husband Michael of Rockingham and his niece Erica Taylor, nephews, Michael Taylor and wife Angelina, Steven Taylor. Great nieces and nephew; Jessica Canter, Charlee Taylor, Kennidy Taylor and Gavin Taylor. Also surviving is his beloved dog Kassey.

A service to celebrate Kenny's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel officiated by Rev. Butch Park, burial will follow in Northam Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.
