Marlene J. Parrill

ZANESVILLE: Marlene J. Parrill, 80 of Zanesville, died 8:14 PM, Saturday, July 26, 2014 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born Monday, November 6, 1933 in Zanesville, the daughter of Clyde Cash and Hazel (Brown) Cash. She married Ronald E. "Ron" Parrill on Saturday, August 20, 1949.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing the lottery especially scratch off tickets. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who greatly cared for her family.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 65 years: Ron Parrill; five children: Cynthia Parrill of the home, Gary & Mindy Parrill of Merritt Island, FL, Brenda & John Sabol of East Fultonham, Linda & Peter Diniz of Trenton, OH and Gloria & Michael Smith of Georgetown, KY; one special friend who Marlene cared for as her own: Mark Starks of Columbus; 11 grandchildren: Michelle Pendergast, Bonita Hartman, Natasha Oliver and Kyle Morgan all of Zanesville, Charles Oliver, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Moneen McBride of Cuyahoga Falls, Tracy Slovick of Orlando, FL, Tammy Davis of Fayetteville, NC, Casey Parrill of Merritt Island, FL, Gary Parrill, Jr. of Portland, ME, Todd Parrill of Zanesville; 17 great grandchildren; one brother: Bill & Fern Cash of Zanesville and one sister: Ruby Stanikmas of Leicester, MA.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by two children: Ronald Eugene Parrill, Jr. and Pamela Sue Parrill; four brothers and two sisters.

A caring cremation has been chosen and a Memorial Service to Celebrate Marlene's Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville Ohio.
