Tanya and Emily, Hannah and Zach, I know the days ahead will be difficult but know we are sharing some of that pain with you as well as the blessing of the memories that Raquel left us with. I do remember the first few days of her life when your dad ( and grandpa) Jim carried her into Grandpa and Grandmas Barger's house in Sioux City, I seem to remember it being on My moms birthday or very close ( her birthday was Sept 30th ) and Joe and my wedding was on Oct 3rd ( the next week) I remember my mom saying was a really good birthday having gotten a new granddaughter and her daughter getting married! She truly was a gift to our family. God keep you all in his love and care Aunt Carol

I was saddened to learn of Raquel's passing. I knew Raquel many years ago when she was only 21 and we were roommates for a short time. Raquel was the most loving and sweetest girl I have ever known. Her smile could light up the entire room. I had often wondered about Raquel and where her life had led her. I had left the Omaha area and moved back to the Carolina's near my family and lost contact with her. My deepest sympathy to the family.
