Nicolas, Pierre Jean, 70, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2006. Pierre was born and raised in Fullerton and is a descendent of the original Yorba family. He attended the University of Santa Clara, graduating in 1957. He also served in the United States Army. Pierre had a passion for horse racing and athletics. He was involved in many community organizations, especially Cal State Fullerton athletics. Pierre is survived by his sons, Pierre Nicolas and Matthew Nicolas; daughter, Susan James, and granddaughter, Jessica James. Services will be held at St. Juliana's Catholic Church in Fullerton. Viewing on Thursday, December 7th from 6-7p.m., followed by a rosary at 7p.m. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 9th at 10a.m., also at St. Juliana's. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Devereux Foundation, P.O. Box 6784, Santa Barbara, CA 93160, or Cal State Fullerton Athletics Dept.
