Ferne was my Nana (great grandmother). She was the pillar of our family, and the biggest inspiration in my life. She was the most kind, loving, giving, and understanding person the world has ever known. She touched so many lives, and will be remembered forever. Nana loved butterflies.I recently read an article that stated that an anceint Mayan tribe believed that when a loved one died, their spirit was transformed into a butterfly, so that they could watch over them. So, everytime I see a beautiful butterfly, I will know that Nana is there, watching over me. I will greatly miss my Nana. I only wish that some day I could live to be half of the strong, caring woman that was my Nana.
