Lou Stringer Obituary

Stringer, Lou, 91, former major league baseball player with the Red Sox and the Cubs passed away Sunday, October 19th. Lou resided at Freedom Village in Lake Forest. He is survived by his wife, Wilma; daughter Lynda; son, Tom; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church, Lake Forest, on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Ascension Cemetery. O'Connor Mortuary

Time passes but I still remember My Idol. I can still see the smiles on the faces of my Father Frenchy Bedard and Lou at the Oaks Ballpark in Oakland as they reminisced over passed experiences.

Lou Stringer was my Idol. The Stringer Family were good friends of my father Frenchy Bedard.
I met Lou twice at the Oaks Ballpark in Oakland CA.

Lou Stringer was my idle. He and his brother Barney were a friend of my Fathers, Frenchy Bedard. I met Lou on two or three occasions when he played the Oakland Oaks way back when. He gave me a Baseball on one meeting at the park. I followed his Career for many years. I still think of him often.
