Chris, I was just starting to get to know you when you were taken from us. It was your site that I got started with my knowledge of bodybuilding and all that goes with it. I now try to help as many others as I can with the knowledge I have gained, and I thank you for when you did that for us. You are gone but not forgotten, and a large group of your friends carry on your memory by keeping your board alive. May you rest in peace my friend.

Its been a year now and i just got around to finding this. I hope your family is doing better. No one can erase the pain of a love lost at such an early age, but in thinking back on memories of days past we can find refuge. Even though we only spoke twice, i could tell you were a caring and bright young man. You are and will be joined by many others in a place free from pain and suffering.

I never personally had a chance to correspond with Chris, but his advice on the boards were of great importance and I actually paid attention to what he had to say. He was and always will be a dynamic person in my heart and the hearts of his many friends, indirect or directly. I am a newbie but I knew who Chris was in what he had to say on the boards. He will be missed and may God carry you through the gates of heaven with open arms, my friend.

It’s hard for me to come up with words that could come close to doing Chris justice. I thought I knew how great he was and how big his heart was, but now reading these messages, I can see he has yet again exceeded all my expectations.(he always did that well) He truly made this world a better place and even in his death he continues to do that. Stories of him and all the wonderful things he did will live on in our hearts forever.
I’ve always felt very connected to Chris and despite the space between us now, I still do. Maybe that’s because a piece of my heart went with him when he left this world. Whatever the reason is, I can’t think of a better person to be watching over me now.
To all of you who loved him: May you find peace and happiness again.
To Chris: I love you very much and you are in my heart forever. I will carry you with me always.

I was shocked and very saddened when I heard about the lost of your son. I only knew him by his Internet alias of “gearedup” since a few years now. Indeed, I did not personally know this young man; I must say he was a good man. I hope the Lord can help you find a meaning for his death and your sorrows. I can only give you my sincere words of condolences. As my former regiment’s motto says “ Je me souviens, de mes frères morts aux combats”. I remember my brothers who died in combat. It is with great proud, I must say, this could apply to “Chris”. I will remember you brother!

To the family and friends of Chris,
It surely was a sad day when I heard the tragic news of your passing MUCH too soon. Your always ready smile, patient nature and dedication to your family was obvious. A million questions went through my mind...how? why? While we may never understand, I know you are resting with Frank. I pray for your parents as they lost not only their only child, but a friend as well.

I was unbelievably saddened to learn of Chris' death. Although I did not have the opportunity to know him as a young adult, I have fond memories of him as a little boy in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have read every entry in this guest book and it is such a blessing to know that Chris was well liked by so many people. My heart breaks for his parents, Debbie and Fred and for his dear Grandmother Joannie, for I can only imagine the pain of losing a loved one at such an early age. May God grant all of you peace and understanding, and give you the strength to carry on in spite of this tragedy. May you find comfort in knowing that Chris is with God, and may you remember that promise that we will all meet in enternity.
With sincere love,

I have thought and written and rethought and rewritten, several times over what I felt would be appropriate words for Chris. I can honestly and truly say that words seem incredibly trite and certainly NOT worthy enough to convey who I felt Chris was. I could say he was wise byond his years, noble, loyal and a shining light wherever he went. I could say he was helpful and respectful and generous with his time and with his spirit. I could also say that when he spoke with you, no one else in the world seemed to be present, even when speaking to you in crowd.
However, all these words still seem quite inadequate and certainly can not come close to describing such a wonderful person.
Therefore, since words do not do him justice, please then accept my humble and warm condolences to Chris' family, girlfriend and friends. Please know I have lost a dear friend and my life will never be the same because I have known him as well as because we have lost him.
Warmest and sincerest sympathies, Kathy

I met Chris on the FitnessGeared webforum where he dedicated lots of his time, money, knowledge and heart. Im so glad to see that Chris rededicated his life to Christ before passing. Although ive never met Chris in person, he was always willing to help any and all with their questions and issues and used to share alot of his personal lifes problems to help others. He will be sorely missed. He was a gentleman and a very pleasant and honest person to associate with. His integrity and ethic is unsurpassed. Ill miss you my brother, but know I am SURE your in a far better place now. Just a couple of days after Chris's passing, I posted a verse, as I normally do called the "Daily Verse". This was the verse for 12/2/03.
1 Corinthians 2:9
"But as it is written, EYE HAS NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NEITHER HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN, THE THINGS WHICH GOD HATH PREPARED FOR THEM FOR THEM THAT LOVE HIM."
Good verse to say that we cannot even fathom how great it will be in heaven.
May Chris know eternal peace with our Lord in heaven.
Ill see you one day bro
