Marie Ramirez Obituary

Marie I. Ramirez, 65, passed away on Sept. 19, 2008 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw.

Marie was born in Saginaw to the late John and Irene (Floud) Barko. In 1966, Marie married her sweetheart, Raymond Ramirez, in Saginaw.

Marie was a school bus driver who retired from Midland Public Schools. She enjoyed bingo and fishing.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Malynda Brewer and Jan Mcalister; a son, Terry (Cheryl) Ramirez; stepsons, Raymond (Lori) Ramirez and Steven Ramirez; grandchildren, Mykel Colby, Marcus Colby, Steven Brewer, Kyle Bell, Zachary Bell, Christina Halabrin, Tyler Ramirez and Raymond Ramirez; great-grandchild, Ella Ramirez; brothers, Chuck (Colleen) Barko, John (Beverly) Barko, Keith (Bonnie) Barko and Richard Barko.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Community Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Tom Travis officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Saginaw.

Members of Mrs. Ramirez's family will receive friends at the Community Church of the Nazarene Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider giving to the family in her name.

I am so sorry to hear that Marie has passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time. It has been a long time since I have seen Marie, but I will forever remember her hearty laugh and her ear to ear smile. Both made me smile everytime I seen her. Take care.
