Betty J. Wood CHESAPEAKE - Betty J. Wood, 64, of the 100 block of Jones St., entered into eternal rest Aug. 7, 2008, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 44 years, Calvin Wood; three daughters, DeVaine Rogers (Lawrence) of Norfolk, Michelle Wood and Tomeka Harrison (Michael), both of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Ebony Rogers, Ashanti and Zabrina Lattimore and Ashli Wright; one sister, Lorraine Rogan (James) of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Benjamin Scott (Phyllis) and James Scott, both of Chesapeake; one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. The Rev. John Hassell will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 120 Jones St. one hour prior to the service for the procession to the chapel.
