Tommy, Billy and Danny:
I was so shocked to hear of your father's passing. My mother Mamie loved "Mr. George" and "Miss Pat" so much; she thought of them (and you) as her own family. How many cups of coffee and stories were shared by those three we'll never really know!
Please know that your father was always loved and respected for his strength and dedication to his family.

Mr. Cartledge was a kind man who always had time to help a young YN3 who had just reported for duty at NAVSTA Norfolk from overseas in 1974. He was justifiably very proud of his service to his country. The world will miss a fine American.
