Phyllis Mizelle

Phyllis J. Mizelle CHESAPEAKE - Phyllis Jacqueline Mizelle, 65, of the 1400 block of Hazel Ave., went to be with the Lord Aug. 11, 2008, in Chesapeake. A native of Giles County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles G. and Polly Perry Blankenship. She worked as a nurse for many years at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C., and had recently been attending Chesapeake Vineyard Christian Fellowship. She is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Jones and Pat Bell and her husband Robert, all of Chesapeake; a brother, Carlos Gene Blankenship and his wife Gay of Greenup, Ky.; three aunts, two uncles, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, with Pastor Elston Brown officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Mount Carmel Christian Church Cemetery, 27882 Walters Highway, Carrsville, Va.
