Karen Doyle Obituary


Karen A. Doyle VIRGINIA BEACH - Karen Ann Doyle, 51, passed away peacefully Aug. 9, 2008, in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Doyle was born March 2, 1957, to Terrance and Mary Vickers Sr. in Newport, R.I. She was employed with Food Lion, but on her way to becoming a certified nursing assistant. She was also a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church. Karen enjoyed music and having fun but her family and friends is what she truly loved. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, daughter-in- law and friend. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 31 years, Samuel F. Doyle Jr.; two daughters, Shannon VanNostrand (Raymond) and Amy Nicol Doyle; father, Terrance A. Vickers Sr.; brother, Terrance A. Vickers Jr. and family; three sisters, Gina Schreiber (Timothy) and family, Elizabeth McCully (Dirk), and MaryAnn Barnett (Mike) and family; three grandchildren, Lucas Samuel, Ethan Joseph and Piper James VanNostrand; mother and father-in-law, Samuel and Marie Doyle; brother-in-law, Jeff Doyle and family; sister-in-law, Melody Clark and family; family and best friend, Christine Bendit and family; as well as all other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Vickers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Rosewood Memorial Park. Please share your love and condolences with the family at www.mem.com.
