Lynn Hamilton Obituary


Lynn R. Hamilton VIRGINIA BEACH - Lynn R. Hamilton, 74, went to be with the Lord Aug. 12, 2008, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Lynn proudly served and retired from the United States Navy as an E7 chief after 22 years of service. Once retired, he gave an additional 24 years of hard work to various shipyards. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lucy Hamilton and his granddaughter Christa DiSisto. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joan Hamilton; son and his wife, Gary and Katrina Hamilton of Chesapeake; stepson, Jeff Spagna of Virginia Beach; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Carol and Raymond Wheaton of Chesapeake and Joyce and Thomas DiSisto of Chesapeake; his brothers and sisters and numerous nephews and nieces in Troy, N.C. Lynn was also a proud and dedicated grandfather to five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at noon in Princess Anne Memorial Park with Pastor Woody Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends at Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
