John Fallin Obituary


John E. Fallin CHESAPEAKE - John Edgar Fallin passed away Aug. 9, 2008. Born in Virginia, he was the son of the late John Bunch and Virginia Fallin. John was an inventory management specialist with NOAA. He was an avid poker player, rock climber, sky diver, musician and photographer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. John leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Joan Chapman and her husband George of Warrington, Va.; two brothers, Bill Fallin and his wife Joyce of Reston, Va., and Bob Fallin and his wife Cathy of Norfolk; several nieces and nephews; his cousin, Katherine Ann Sorrell of Chesapeake; and his very close and special friend, Brenda Dunham of Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, is handling the arrangements. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society (Melanoma Research), 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
