Carme Louk Obituary
Carme I. Louk CHESAPEAKE - Carme I. Louk, 76, of the 900 block of West Road, passed away Aug. 13, 2008, in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. A native of Kinsman, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Artman. She was a retired dietician. She was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Brooks L. Louk; her daughter, Jan Hewitt and husband Donald of Elizabeth City, N.C.; her son, John Paul Louk of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Logan. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with Pastor Sam Lewis officiating. A homegoing reception will follow the service at Middle Cross Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Middle Cross Baptist Church, 1301 West Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
