Edwin Shacklock Obituary


Edwin Norman Shacklock PORTSMOUTH - Edwin Norman Shacklock passed away Aug. 10, 2008, at the age of 77. Until he entered a nursing home because of health problems, he lived at 22 1/2 Croatan Trail in Portsmouth and before he retired was the owner/operator of Ed's Taxi in Portsmouth. He is survived by four daughters, Barbara Allen of Portsmouth, Deloris Barber and Annette Heatherly of Virginia Beach, Estelle Fricovsky of Norfolk; one son, Eddie Shacklock of Atlanta; one sister, Esther Nelson of Chesapeake; three brothers, Gene Shacklock and Ray Shacklock of Indiana, Reggie Shacklock of Maryland; 15 grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his former wife, Mamie Caldwell and son, Mark Shacklock of Portsmouth. He also leaves behind a former wife Mildred Mollenhour who remained his friend and companion. In compliance with and to honor his last wish, his body is being donated for medical research.

We love you so very much and miss you. We know that you are arguing with Dad (Ray), Uncle Reggie, and Uncle Gene. Aunt Esther is saying "I do declare" trying to settle you down. I laugh when I think about you chasing me around the front yard trying to get my camera because I took a picture of you! Rhonda remembers Dutch oven pies. Yummy. I think you bought one of every flavor. We will join all of you one day. Until then.....
