Miss, Sierra, Cole and Olivia, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything I am a phone call and a plane ride away. John was a wonderful man, a best friend and soul mate for Miss, and a dedicated father to Sierra, Cole and Olivia. I could not of asked for a better person to marry my friend. With him you shared 10 wonderful years and have a lifetime of memories. My heart is sad for your family, but your friends and family are here for you.

Melissa, Sierra, Cole and Miss Olivia, Oh my goodness how this breaks my heart! As I loved John as though he were my own! Well actually, he was mine, just as you all are! He was so sweet and good, and he loved you all so much! And I love you all so much! And if you need me, I'll be in Virginia as fast as I can! The offer is still open! And I'd really love to come! Know that you all are in my prayers! All my love Aunt Lollie!!!

Mellissa, Sierra, Cole, and Olivia,

We are so glad that we got to know your family while Brian and Cole were best buddies in kindergarten. Perry is thankful for the time he got to spend working with John. The world doesn't have many easy-going people like John. He was a true friend and great family man. We will always remember him and miss him. Please call us if you need anything.

We are neighbors over on Arabian Place and regret not knowing your family personally. From reading the guest book, it is obvious John was a fantastic person! Cole comes over on occasion and talks to our 4 year old twins, they always get excited to have the "big kid" pay attention to them. We are so very sorry for your loss.

John was a cherished friend that I knew back in high school and throughout my college days. I will always carry the memories of road trips, camping, and of him skateboarding barefoot all year long, close to my heart. He was a true friend.

Taylor Family,
The friendship we have in this neighborhood is so great. I know you have so many of us to call for help. Just know we will all always have our special place in our heart for your family. I can not say enough how much "we are here for you". Our memories of John will always be imbeded in our hearts. Margaret and I each had something of significance to remember John by. I just wish we could have had more time as I am sure all of us do. God bless you and the family.

Melissa, John did alot for me, gave me strength and brought me through a tough time in my life and gave me back what I loved, biking. Please don't hesitate to ask for anything during this time, our family will be there if you need it. I am sorry I cannot make the ride as I am out of state.

John - You are such a big part of our Steeplechase family and thank you for being such a good friend to all of us. You will be greatly missed. You are what most of us desire to be...kind, considerate, and everyone's "buddy". You will be in our thoughts and prayers always!

I am very sorry for your loss and sorry that I did not get to know John better. I pray that God will surround you with others who have been through a similar trial so that you may be comforted by them. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. May He give you the grace to endure.

In Christ,

John will be missed here at Home Depot, he was a great friend and as a "fellow biker" we shared and had much in common. Words cannot tell how truely sorry I am for your loss.

My deepest sympathy to John's family. I heard a lot about each and every one of you while he worked here at The Home Depot on Virginia Beach Blvd. He lived for being with his family and he will be greatly missed. He was fun and funny and I am always looking for him to come around the corner from Hilti area to our desk to visit or bring a customer. We as a store were so shocked and can only hope that our thoughts and prayers for each of you will help you through this very difficult time.
