Elmer Abuel Obituary
Elmer P. Abuel VIRGINIA BEACH - Elmer P. Abuel, born April 13, 1938, passed away peacefully Aug. 21, 2008. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Annie O. Abuel; his children, Elaine C. Munson of Virginia Beach, Rose A. Musico of San Diego, Calif.; stepson, Jake Oliva of Virginia Beach; sons, Elmer Jr. and Jonathan James of the Philippines; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lucito Abuel and wife Cynthia and their daughter, Cecile Ilamni and Robert Abuel and his children, Nelson Abuel, Rowena Villaraza, Bobby Abuel and Ferdinand Abuel. Elmer served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1988 and the Merchant Marines thereafter. A visitation will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. with a wake at 7 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m., with military honors, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Church of the Ascension, Virginia Beach. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
