Henry Hepsoe Obituary


Henry L. Hepsoe NORFOLK - Henry L. Hepsoe, 78, passed away Aug. 23, 2008. Born Aug. 4, 1930, to the late Henry and Gladys Johnson Hepsoe. Henry served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years with a retiring rank of master chief. He was a former member of Ocean View Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Jane Cochran Hepsoe of Norfolk; son, Robert R. Rieger and his wife Elizabeth of Huntington Park, Calif.; three grandchildren, Raymond Ross Rieger, Elisa Victoria Camberros and Eric Camberros. His brother, Robert Hepsoe, predeceased him. A celebration of Henry's life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the gravesite in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Terry Beck officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at noon until time of service Tuesday in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Memorial donations may be made to the Ocean View Masonic Lodge in Henry's honor. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.woodlawngroup.com.
