Adele Gonzales Obituary
Adele M. Gonzales NORFOLK - Adele M. Gonzales, a native of Cavite, Philippines, passed away Aug. 24, 2008, at the age of 79. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for more than 20 years and had two passions in her life, gardening and her canine companion, Bo. Adele leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Madeline Sharp; two nieces, Angela Brock and Stacey Sharp; two nephews, John Sharp and Michael Sharp; great niece, Briana Brock; three other great-nieces, two great-nephews and longtime friend, Loreta Davis. A celebration of life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., with Father Venancio R. Balarote Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. A guestbook and online condolences can be signed for Adele at www.woodlawngroup.com.

I remember eating some of the delicious egg rolls (lumpia) that Adele prepared once. She was always friendly and sweet whenever I was in her company. We will always remember her fondly.
