Jeanette Williams Obituary


Jeanette C. Williams CHESAPEAKE - Jeanette Clark Williams, 63, of the 2200 block of Tattenhall Drive, passed away Aug. 26, 2008, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 12, 1944, to the late Ethel and Shaffer Clark Sr. in Norfolk. She attended Booker T. Washington High School and graduated from Norfolk Business College. Jeanette retired from Verizon after 27 years of service. She was a member of St. Thomas AME Zion Church. Jeanette was full of knowledge and loved to share it. An avid entrepreneur who operated Jen's Hot Dogs N Stuff. Jeanette could be seen annually at Homerama, car dealerships and the oceanfront selling her delicious hot dogs. She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Carolyn Darden (Julius); one brother, Shaffer Clark Jr. (Karen); nieces and nephews, Shaffer Clark III, Tecia Williams, Tawana Clark, Justin Darden, Kelli Darden, Kiera Clark, Christopher Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas AME Zion Church, 1700 Melon St. The Rev. Dr. Joseph E. Lamb will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 2203 Tattenhall Drive one hour prior to the service for the procession to the church. The family will receive friends Friday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
