Catherine Rogers Obituary
Catherine S. Rogers NORFOLK - Catherine Secor Rogers, 89, passed away Aug. 28, 2008. Born in Queens, N.Y., she lived in Norfolk for more than 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Caroline Kueler Secor and Alfred Secor and was the widow of Preston Douglas Rogers. Mrs. Rogers was raised in the Lutheran Church and was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Carol Rogers of Parrish, Fla.; two sons, Preston Douglas Rogers and his wife Vivian of Virginia Beach, and Robert Allen Rogers of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Abraham Delnore, Mary Dye and Preston Rogers; and a great-grandchild, Eli Delnore. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The family will be at the chapel one hour prior to the service for visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058. Condolences may be offered to the family through www.dmvobits.com/cox.
