Richard Umbarger Obituary
Richard L. Umbarger NORFOLK - Richard Lloyd Umbarger, 58, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in his residence. Born in Norfolk, he was a retired counselor from Commonwealth of Virginia after three years. He was a member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church. Richard is survived by his mother, Catharine Shane Umbarger of Norfolk; brother, Robert E. Umbarger Jr. and his wife Sharon Kelly Umbarger of Columbia, S.C.; nephew, Robert Shane Umbarger and his wife Melissa of Greensboro, N.C.; and numerous cousins. The memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. John Monroe. Arrangements are under the direction of Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
