James Grant Obituary
James Bobby Grant CHESAPEAKE - James Bobby Grant, 74, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., died Sept. 2, 2008, in Norfolk. A native of North Carolina, he was the son of Eva Grant Hope of Everett, Mass., and the late Arlee Grant Sr. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with J.B. Denny Company. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Frances L. Grant; daughter, Sarah L. Capozio and her husband Nicholas of Raleigh, N.C.; son, Curtis Jordan of Norfolk; two sisters, Jean Pipkins and her husband Nathaniel of Fayetteville, N.C., and Erlene Williams and her husband Eddie of Everett; two brothers, Arlee Grant Jr. of New York City and Billy Grant and his wife Alice of Fayetteville, N.C.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Riverside Memorial Park with Allen Bess officiating. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Please share a memory with the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.com.
