Ann I was lying in bed tonight, feeling so sad about your memorial tomorrow, like this is really it, the end. It's not though, it's a new beginning. I wish you were here to email me stupid stuff in the middle of the night when we both couldn't sleep. The other day I went looking for my Ann Egret and saw her on the causeway to the Gardens. I stopped my car, rolled down my window, took a picture of the Egret looking out at the lake and then in like slow motion the Egret turned around and looked right at me and it made me smile and have goose bumps and I knew without question you are in a better place where there is no suffering and only love and peace. I miss you my friend. love always Lanelane

Ann was a beautiful, creative, spirit who blessed our lives with love, laughter and a smile that brightened a room. I had the joy of sharing many precious memories with my sister and her dear friends, her extended family, who made her life that much more full. She will be deeply missed, but I am so grateful she has been released from the horrible pain and suffering she experienced during her last months. Now she is soaring with the Angels, and we have one more watching over us from Heaven. Love you Ann!

Having had the opportunity to meet Ann a few years ago, she helped me when i was down and out, basically isolated. She sought me. Her guidance in teaching me how to journal in with a specific format helped me more than ever. I use this for prayer and meditation everyday. The last time I saw her we played a game at a friends house, we had a great time. She will be missed by countless people.

Ann was one of the most encouraging and genuine people that I have ever met. She always made me feel welcome and that I was important. Ann would not want us to be upset, but to be strong and continue to live our lives to the best of our ability.

Even though I only knew Ann for a few short years she left a life long impression on me. I grew to love and admire her for her tremendous courage and love for life. Ann know what she was facing but still loved life and lived it to it's fullest everyday. I have observed such great acts of kindness displayed by her in the way she touched peoples lives. Ann's legacy will live on and inspire people to live life like everyday is their last. Her big smile and wonderful sense of humor will be missed but she will live on in the hearts and minds of the people who knew or meet her.

My Dear Ann,
You were such a good friend to me when my sister died of this dreaded disease. You seemed to always keep smiling thru all of this. I know how much suffering you went thru here on this earth, God has a very special place for you in his Kingdom. There is no more suffering for you. The eternal loving light of God is now shining on you. I will miss you so very much. I know that you know how much I missed my sister. Now the two of you can be good friends as you and I were here on this earth. I love you Ann and I will never forget you :)
Love and hugs to you and your family.

God sent an angel when Ann was on earth, but no doubt He needed her back. Ann was an extraordinary example of kindness, generosity, and service to her fellow man. The time I knew her I was amazed by her deep faith and constant quest for spiritual enlightenment, and no doubt that quality about her was an inspiration and a gift to all who were blessed to crossed her path while she was on earth.

Rest in eternal peace, Ann!

I will always remember Ann and her infectious smile. I once told her that she was a lighthouse to me, ever remembering to walk and do for others as she so much did for me. I am truly blessed to have been a part of her life. May I always be able to keep her giving spirit alive and be as gracious as she was to me.

My Friend Ann,
I do not grieve for you as I believe you are in the light of the Father and once more able to tell your story without the aide of any devices. I thank you for your friendship and fond memories of cutting down hedges, getting back drivers licenses, eating too many cookies together, and a special Thanksgiving. I will always remember your gusto and know that one day we will visit again except this time we will have our Mothers present, glad you are with yours. I'll get there one day. Til then, I am grateful you are!

Ann and I shared our experiences as laryngectomees. We traded stories of alcohol and recovery. We loved to relate our travels, often to the same places. Vegetable gardening--a common passion. Most of all, we both loved sharing about life. How many times did we cheer each other?

We will all continue to cherish our memories and love of Ann in this life.

Keep Shining my friend. I love you and miss you. You know the song, I'll sing it and think of you. No one could have fought this horrible disease harder and still be able to find some laughter and we did have lots of laughter and that's what I'll choose to remember and the beach and our time playing the piano and making sure the seagul was buried properly. I will see you today and know you will see me. My heart has literally been aching. I will see you in every Egret I see and I will remember. Know you touched so many lives in various ways. I love you friend. Lanelane aka ReRe
