Dorothy Miltier Obituary


Dorothy F. Miltier PORTSMOUTH - Dorothy Forsythe Miltier, 92, passed away Aug. 31, 2008, in Parson's Residential Care Center, Chesapeake. She was born Feb. 27, 1916, in Portsmouth, to the late William and Emma Forsythe. Dorothy was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church. She was the widow of Claude L. Miltier Sr. She is survived by three sons, Claude L. Miltier Jr. and wife Bonnie of Lake Anna, Va., Stephen A. Miltier and wife Peggy of Portsmouth and Harvey A. Miltier and wife Nadine, also of Portsmouth; six grandchildren, Todd, Tonya, Kelley, Nicholas, Jeffrey and Kate Miltier; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jennifer and Shanna Miltier. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Philip Parker. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in memory of Dorothy F. Miltier. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the love and kindness given by the staff of Parsons. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
