Deneen "Neen" Harris

Deneen Harris VIRGINIA BEACH - Deneen "Neen" Harris passed away Sept. 1, 2008. She was born Sept. 24, 1964, to Ray Gainer and the late Vernetta Love Gainer in Norfolk. She was a member of Mount Zion AME Church, Virginia Beach, and was employed with the Virginia Beach Circuit Court for more than 25 years. She is survived by her loving husband and friend, Nathaniel Harris; two daughters, Avis and Autumn Harris; a sister, Angela Cunningham; grandmother, Lois Love; mother-in-law, Lucinda Brown Harris; five brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; three uncles, Ervin Gainer, Kenneth Love and Oliver Love; four aunts, Ruby Dunston, Bertha White, Cheryl Love and Gracie Gainer; two great aunts, Shirley Walker and Evone Lovitt; a great-great-aunt, Thelma Perry; two god daughters, LynDara Corprew and Sharina Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Those who truly knew Deneen loved her dearly and she will remain in our hearts forever. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
