Lee Willie Obituary


Lee W. Willie Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Lee W. Willie Sr., of the 900 block of Dixie Drive, died Sept. 3, 2008 in Sentara Leigh Hospital. Born in Princess Anne County (now Virginia Beach), he retired as a teacher from the Virginia Beach School System after 26 years of service. He was a member of United House of Prayer For All People, Burton, and was predeceased by his mother, Jennie Willie and father, Thomas Willie. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Annette Willie; three daughters, Gayle Robinson (Gary), Linda Holmes (Timothy), Teresa Willie, all of Virginia Beach; two sons, Lee W. Willie Jr. (Crystal) of Columbia, S.C. and Damon Willie of Virginia Beach; sister, Lola Elliott (Joseph); 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in United House of Prayer For All People, Virginia Beach, by Apostle C. Sutton. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Garden. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling the arrangments. Viewing will be Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Norfolk Chapel.
