Mildred Papuchis Obituary


Mildred L. Papuchis VIRGINIA BEACH - Mildred L. "Ruby" Papuchis, 83, passed away Sept. 2008, in Bayside Hospital. A native of Perquimans County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ellodia Lamb. She is survived by her two daughters, Betty Thurman and husband John of Greensboro, Fla., and Stella London and husband James of Virginia Beach; two sons, Louis Anderson and wife JoAnn and George Papuchis, both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Florence Boone and Hattie Ann Harris, both of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two brothers, James Lamb and Maxie Lamb, both of Hertford, N.C.; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Lamb Family Cemetery, Chapel Hill, N.C. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
