Neva Flood

Neva M. Flood SUFFOLK - Neva Mullen Flood of the 100 block of Sumner St. passed away Sept. 9, 2008, in the comfort of her home. A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Clyde and Sarah Victoria Mullen and the widow of Charlton Flood Sr. She was a graduate of the former East Suffolk High School. Mrs. Flood had served as a musician for First Baptist Church Orlando and Diamond Grove Baptist Church. She was a faithful and lifetime member of Mineral Spring Baptist Church and a former member of the Golden Age Club of the church. She was also a past member of the Holland Chapter No. 162 of the Order of Eastern Star, PHA. Left behind to cherish her memory are her son and his wife, Charlton and Marion D. Flood of Suffolk; brother, John Clyde Mullen of Baltimore; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mineral Spring Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Charlie W. Poulson Jr. Interment will be in the Langston Cemetery.
