Ella Galumbeck

Ella M. Galumbeck NORFOLK - Ella M. Galumbeck, 86, died Sept. 13, 2008. She was born in Norfolk, the daughter of the late Morris Morganstein and Gussie Morganstein. Mrs. Galumbeck was a graduate of Maury High School. She retired as a budget analyst from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center. Mrs. Galumbeck was a member of Congregation Beth El in Norfolk, as well as the Toast Masters, past president of the Hebrew Ladies Charity, Beth El Sisterhood, B'nai Brith and Brith Sholom Center. Mrs. Galumbeck was preceded in death by her husband, Edward I. Galumbeck and two sisters, Ina Broudy and Rose Asbell. Survivors include her two sons, Alan D. Galumbeck of Atlanta, Robert M. Galumbeck and his wife Annabelle, who she considered her daughter, of Tazewell, Va., two grandchildren, Paula G. Gravitt and her husband Mark of Glen Allen, Va., and Dori M. Hazan and her husband Mark of Falls Church, Va. Mrs. Galumbeck is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Evan Gravitt, Ethan Gravitt and Sophie Hazan. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Gordon Piltch.
