Gertrude Edmonds Obituary


Gertrude Parker Edmonds VIRGINIA BEACH - Gertrude Palmer Parker Edmonds, 92, passed away Sept. 12, 2008, at her home. Born in Seaboard, N.C., to the late Robert and Flossie Parker, Mrs. Edmonds was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of Charles F. Edmonds Sr. and is survived by two daughters, Jane Edmonds of Vero Beach, Fla., and Jacqueline E. Widgeon and husband Larry of Virginia Beach; son, Charles Frederick Edmonds Jr. and his wife Lisa of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Dutch Von Ehrenfried of, Kevin Frederick Von Ehrenfried, both of Dallas, Heidi Von Ehrenfried of Houma, La., Dawn J. Seay of Virginia Beach, and Christian L. Seay and wife Sara of Cheriton, Va.; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the residents of Lynnhaven Beach Condo Association for their kindness. A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 20 Interstate Corporate Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, VA 23502, in memory of her late husband.
