Dorothy Kosinski Obituary


Dorothy M. Kosinski PORTSMOUTH - Dorothy Jean McCann "Doji" Kosinski, 57, of Pittsburgh, passed away Sept. 10, 2008. Born March 10, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy McCann. Doji will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who devoted much of herself to the care of her family and children. She earned a bachelor's degree in child development from Pennsylvania State University. Survivors include six children, Michael Kosinski, Autumn Kosinski, Rachael Birn and husband Ryan, Erin Kosinski, Matthew Kosinski and Christian McCann; two grandchildren, Andrew and Kayla; brothers, Bill and wife Gwen, Tom, Regis and Michael and wife Lesly; sisters, Virginia, Eileen, Rita and Mary Ellen. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Father Romeo Jazmin will officiate. The viewing will begin Friday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake.
