Terry Brown Obituary


Terry Dale Brown VIRGINIA BEACH - Terry Dale Brown, 71, of the 600 block of Princess Anne Road, passed away Sept. 15, 2008, in a local hospital. Terry was a Vietnam veteran and served in the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years. He had also worked for the City of Virginia Beach and was an airplane mechanic at NARF. Terry was a member of Creeds Church of Christ and DAV Chapter 20. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brown; two sons, Hugh C. Brown and wife Sue of Conroe, Texas, and Kenneth G. Brown of Wiggins, Miss.; two grandchildren, Carmen R. Brown of Conroe and Seth Hatcher of Crossett, Ark.; two sisters, Gloria S. Crews of Manchester, Ga., and Melissa McInvale and husband James of Woodbury, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Julia and Ollie Brown; and a brother, Ollie Brown Jr. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Creeds Church of Christ with the Rev. John Boyer officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his church or the DAV Chapter 20. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
