Columbus Little Obituary


Columbus Little Sr. NORFOLK - Columbus "Lump" Little Sr., 59, of the 1200 block of Lead St., passed away Sept. 14, 2008, at his residence. He retired from Fine's Men Warehouse after 40 years of service as supervisor of the damage department. Columbus was ordained as an apostle at Norfolk Evangelistic COGIC. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Regina Dantzler (Darell) and Tonique Little; one son, Columbus Little Jr. (Tarkisha); two sisters, Joyce Little and Fannie Mae Speller; five brothers, Douglas Little, Fred Little Jr., Rufus Little, Charles Little and Wilbert Dickens; four grandchildren; one aunt, Mattie Day; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 1721 Cypress St. one hour prior to the service for the procession to the chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
