Mary Watson Obituary


Mary L. Watson VIRGINIA BEACH - Mary L. Watson, 62, was called home to be with the Lord Sept. 14, 2008. She was born Nov. 17, 1945, to the late John W. and Caroline Diggs in Princess Anne County, Virginia. She was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Diggs. She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Gloria Allen, Charles B. Watson, Edward Watson and Dwane D. Watson, all of Virginia Beach, and Angela Wright (Kenneth) of Cleveland, Ohio; four brothers, Curtis Diggs (Juanita) of Pensacola, Fla., James Diggs (Hattie), John Diggs (Mary) and Charlie Diggs, all of Virginia Beach; one sister, Susie Anderson of Fredericksburg, Va.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Interment will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Family and friends will assemble at 705 Taft Ave. one hour prior to the service for the procession to the chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
