Sumiko Wiggins Obituary
Sumiko T. Wiggins CHESAPEAKE - Sumiko Tomori Wiggins, 67, of the 4400 block of Greendell Road, died Sept. 19, 2008, in her home. A native of Okinawa, Japan, she was the widow of Eugene S. Wiggins and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Samuel Eugene Wiggins and wife Stephanie of Chesapeake; daughter, Miyuki Nagaha Okumoto; four sisters, Hatsuko Arakaki, Tomi Ishikawa, Take Nakama and Tsuruko Kato, all of Japan; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Phillip J. Parker. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
