Odell McCluskey Obituary


Odell K. McCluskey NORFOLK - Mrs. Odell Mae Keech McCluskey, 86, a former resident of Pinetown, died Sept. 20, 2008, in Pungo District Hospital. Mrs. McCluskey was born in Beaufort County, April 14, 1922, to the late Thomas L. and Hattie Latham Keech. She was a graduate of Pantego High School, was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and C&P Telephone Co. in Norfolk. She was a member of Norview Baptist Church in Norfolk. She married Bennie William McCluskey who preceded her in death January 1995. Survivors include two sons, Michael McCluskey and wife Mary of Norfolk, Kenneth McCluskey and fiancee Carolyn Crisp of Washington; one brother, James "Jimmy" Keech and wife Janet of Pinetown; one sister, Alba K. Windley of Pinetown; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. McCluskey was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Monday in Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home of her son, Kenneth McCluskey, 104 Harwill Drive, Washington, NC 27889. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home and will be conducted by Travis Boyd. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
