Dear Julie and family,
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss.
While I was in the hospital with Amanda, god spoke to me
About having joy in to mist of trials as it says in James1:2.
Consider it pure joy… well I had a hard time with that until
a pastor on the radio said” The scriptures said to have joy, not we need to be happy.”
Is this possible? So, we prayed for God’s joy and peace while our lord
Heals our hearts. Amanda and I where so thankful for the freedom
Not to be happy and the comforted that god was there still bringing
Joy just because he is god.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were shocked to learn of Lara's passing. It has been several years since we worked with her at Virginia Beach Christian Church. Lara was a sweet spirit and we were just recently wondering how she was doing. As others have said, heaven's gain is the world's loss. Chris, she really loved you and wanted the best for her brother. Dear Julie and Richard, You are in my prayers. I will miss her dearly. I will never forget the hugs she gave me and how she called me "beautiful". You're whole family has made me feel special and a part of the family. I thank God everyday for you all in my life. Lara would say "you need your Jesus Ms. Mo". I know now she's with Jesus and when we meet again I'm gonna dance with her and Our Jesus. I love you all!

Dear Julie and Richard,

Lara was a vital and vibrant gift and her passing leaves a space in this weary world. We will always cherish the special times she shared with us; she was always such fun, even in the face of adversity. The last visit we shared she talked about loving the song "I Can Only Imagine". Oh lovely Lara, we can only imagine your reward today for a life so beautifully lived. We love you.

Our prayers are with you guys. I recall hearing at our family reunion many years ago about the request Lara gave the "Make a wish foundation". That "giving spirit" reflects what a special young lady Lara was even at that young age. This is one of the special memories we will always have of her.

Lara was a very special young lady. Through all her illnesses she seemed to shine. Altho we did not see her often we tried to keep up with her progress. It was so nice seeing and visiting with her at her grandparents anniversary celebration. She was so happy to be receiving a kidney from her Dad. We are very proud of her and know she is safely "HOME with the LORD"

Lara came into my life as a young child in my Sunday School class at the Vineyard Community Church. I watched her grow up to join the Youth Group and then the Church family as a beauitful young woman. Her life never seemed to have limits despite her illness. She always oftered a smile and hug to all who knew and loved her. Richard and Julie...I can think of no two parents that have given more to their child than the both of you. How blessed she was that God gave her you for parents. Amanda and Christopher... I know she loved you both very much and shared a special bond that only silbings can.
God Bless you all and may his peace be with you.

Richard, Julie & Family:
No words can adequately express sympathy for the loss of your precious daughter, Lara. Please know our hearts are grieving with you during this time of sorrow. Hold fast to the love she so freely gave each and every one of you. Know that as she stepped up into Heaven with Jesus holding her hand, He was reaching down and holding yours as well. Keep hold of His hand and allow the Holy Spirit to comfort you and give you peace.

Much love & prayers,

Lara inspired me everytime I saw her. She new what a gift God has given us with life, and she also knew what a gift God has in store for us in Heaven. She was a blessing to me and to my kids. She was the first one to hold Cory when we brought him to church and that is the picture I have been looking at while thinking of her. I know she personally touched everyone she came in contact with. We could all learn a lot from her attitude about life and how she loved the Lord. Rest in Peace Lara. You are sick no more.

I'll always remember Lara as a bright light in my life. Her spirit was always infectious, and will continue to be so as she lives on in Heaven with her Father. Lara, I'll always remember how happy you were to see me, and how accepting you were of my presence, even if the absence before had been long. You will be truly missed and always loved!
