Mary Bendig Obituary


Mary Bendig MOYOCK - Mary "Mae" Bendig, 87, of the 500 block of Poyners Road, passed away Sept. 23, 2008, in Chesapeake. Born in Pennsylvania, Mae was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Circle of Friends Senior Center and Housewives Brunch Bowling League, all in Aliquippa, Pa. She was also a member of Currituck Senior Center and an avid bingo player. Mae was the widow of Frank J. Bendig and is survived by a daughter, Diana Raymo and husband Skip of Moyock, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Sue Bendig; six grandchildren, Shawn Davis and wife Terri, Michelle Lay, Shannon Bellio, Erin Bendig, Robert McGuffin and wife Angie and Ben Raymo; six great-grandchildren, Joshua and Zacherie Lay, Shane Davis, Jake, Hunter and Macy McGuffin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Allen Bendig and Frank J. Bendig Jr. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Services will be at a later date in Aliquippa, Pa. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

hey gram....i guess this is one of thos times were we all got to be crying all the time huh... well i am because i now see that even though we had our ups and downs..i now see just how much i accually loved you..even when you yelled at me, i knew you just doing it out of love. i just wanted to say that i love you and even though i never got to say goodbye...i know that in your heart, i loved you...so im saying goodbye now because i never got the chance to. "goodbye"

She was the best Gram anybody could have. We will miss playing cards with her, eating on Satururday with her, and just setting down and talking. We love you Gram and will miss you everyday!
