Paul Davis Obituary
Paul E. Davis Sr. MOBJACK - Paul E. Davis Sr., 85, passed away peacefully in his home Sept. 28, 2008. Paul was a Merchant Marine in World War II and retired from GEICO as a claims adjuster in 1988. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Davis, in 1988. He is survived by his five children, Paulette Davis, Rusty Davis and Nancy Davis Hankins of Virginia Beach, Paul Davis Jr. of Easton, Md., and Joan Davis of Olney, Md.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two granddogs. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Providence Cemetery, Miles, Va. Memorial donations may be made to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, 7550 Hospital Drive, Bldg. D, Ste. 301, Gloucester, VA 23061. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va., is in charge of the arrangements.

I am deeply sorry for your families loss, I too will miss him. I remember fondly summers in the country with Christy and her granddaddy. He always shared his time and knowledge with us. We had the best time driving around on the mower, going out in the boat, and learning how to do so many things ....I have not nor will I forget him God Bless!!!

I too will miss my Granddaddy. He was a wonderful man. I will always treasure the memories I have of him - he and Grandma teaching us to fish and crab, him wiggling his ears for us for a special Easter "treat" and that he always remembered to send us a card on our birthdays. He truly was a caring and generous man.
