Myrtle Ange Obituary

Myrtle L. Ange VIRGINIA BEACH - Myrtle L. Ange, 80, gently passed from this Earth Wednesday morning, Sept. 24, 2008. She brought in the New Year by marrying her sweetheart, Jack Ange, Jan. 1, 1944. During the darkest days of World War II, she worked making airplane parts to support the war effort. After the war, she took on the role of mother, raising the first of two sets of children, William and Bonnie, and then she and Jack raised Bonnie's children, Jimmy and Melissa. In later years, she filled her days with volunteer work for her church, doing everything she could, and bettering the lives of everyone that met her. Never content to rest, she went to work for the Christian Broadcasting Network where she remained a fixture for 14 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Jack, and her daughter, Bonnie. She is survived by her son, William Ange and her five grandchildren, Jimmy, Mit, Carrie, Tara and Christie. Due to recent circumstances and her sudden passing, there will be no visitation or public services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater handled arrangements, www.candfservices.com.
